Basic Functions:
Process engineering/manufacturing activities and their supplier metals facilities throughout Thailand.
He/she will provide Process Engineering/Manufacturing support to the teams using BOS procedures and processes to create World Class Metal operations in terms of cost, quality, safety and the environment.
He/she will provide support to supply base. Additionally will take part in planning and organizing future Metal Processing activities to maximize product quality while minimizing manufacturing costs.
Will be point of contact for Global team initiatives within Thailand, with regards to Metals and Welding.
Oversee and support metal manufacturing activities at each facility to support metals manufacturing systems focused on Welding and to drive Continuous Improvement efforts.
Work with available engineering resources to design, contract, and oversee manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of new welding lines or upgrades.
Root cause problems in existing operations and support improvement efforts.
Work with JSI teams and suppliers to set up uniform collection and reporting measurable to insure that quality standards are met and maintained.
Assist in establishing processes and practices that lead to accident prevention and good housekeeping practices.
Analyzes problem areas, i.e., unsafe conditions, acts or equipment and take immediate action.
If beyond his/her authority recommends possible solution. Interface with the HSE department to assist is good safe practices inregards to metal working particularly welding.
Plan and organize training of Metals personnel within JSI to develop a solid knowledge base and to increase technological abilities.
Support Welding operations to ensure correct, accurate and timely completion of production and delivery .
Provides feedback to the organization on the status of production objectives.
Ensures strict compliance with Quality Control standards and promotes the company?s reputation and image as a quality producer.
Closly interfaces with the quality department with technical support.
Act in such a way as to promote and maintain a high level of trust and integrity with all employees.
Experience Required:
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Specials more details:
Must posess strong technical background and understanding of all activities related to metals welding and joining.
Should have good understanding and experience in manufacturing environment.
Undersand of forming, bending, machining and other metals operations is a plus.
Must be able to function and make decisions with limited supervision.
Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Must be able to understand welding quality control methods and assure that weld quality is maintained.
Must be able to juggle multiple tasks at various locations throughout Thailand and be available for travel as many as 15 days per month.
Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary in order facilitate negotiations with suppliers.
