| Details: | Responsibility:
- To provide manufacturing/process engineering support to flywheel hub assembly Operations.
- Shop floor trouble shooting, support company lean and continuous improvement strategy on
flywheel hub assembly products.
- Participates in advanced quality planning processes, from conception through customer approval
for flywheel hub assembly parts.
- Design new product fixtures, setting-up parameter, building samples and validate feasibility,
improve process and close open issues till through customer PPAP audit or approval.
- Report to flywheel hub assembly operation leader and work with all support groups within the
operations group.
- Leadership responsibility is required to coordinate manufacturing and processing projects to
completion.
- Responsible for fulfilling requirements of tooling/fixture/equipment from manufacturing;
- The incumbent has first level responsibility for processing material handling projects within
flywheel hub assembly operations, including analysis of project needs and equipment/methods
selection recommendation and development.
- The incumbent has liaison and technical support contact with product engineers to communicate
operations design input.
- Support company lean strategy and waste elimination by optimize process and layout design;
- Responsible for quality problem analysis and solving in process aspect;
- Responsible set up process, identify key process control method, monitor and maintain the
effectiveness in line with documented spec. setup etc.
- Other tasks or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing process development and fixture design;
- Familiar with time/method study techniques, D.O.E., and S.P.C. methods, FMEA, PPAP etc.
- Preferably with equipment selection experience relative to automated and mechanically assisted
assembly techniques.
- Basic IE skills such as cycle time study and optimization.
- Familiar with common machining lathe and equipment circuit diagram, ability of CNC program is
a plus.
- Knowledge of fixture design and cylinder working theory.
- Good skill with CAD software, minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing process
development and fixture design
- Must be able to recognize plant operation requirements with reference to process, material
handling definition. Prepare project outlines, plans and costs, and track to completion in a timely
manner.
